About

Hi, I’m Cody.

It all started when…

My love for filmmaking began at a young age when I would use my dad’s early 2000s camcorder to make home videos with my three younger siblings. Having a dad who worked in IT meant he always had the latest and greatest products to use, which was really fun for us kids. At 10 years old I thought these home movies were masterpieces. I’m sure you can imagine that they definitely were not—cue the cringe.

Nonetheless, my passion only grew over the years.

I became the lead photographer for my high school yearbook, and soon after I found myself pursuing an Associates degree in Commercial Photography.

Although I enjoyed creating photos, I started to go back to my childhood interest in filmmaking. For me, the teamwork that making a movie requires was so much more fulfilling than working on my own. Upon graduating from college I started delving deeper into the filmmaking world.

I discovered two positions that fit my skillset and desires the best: Color Grading and Digital Imaging Technician. My photography background was perfect for grading, and my depth of knowledge in IT (thanks, dad) was perfect for being a DIT.

I have developed a well-rounded skillset to manage the complexities of both production and post-production, and I can confidently ensure the security of production assets in addition to protecting the Director of Photography’s artistic vision.

I look forward to meeting and working with you to make a film. No matter if you need me as your DIT, Colorist, or even just consulting, I always bring my best attitude and skills. I can’t wait to hear more about your project and begin collaborating!
